Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. That
inflammation can come from a number of different sources the
most common being from ingested toxins such as alcohol and
the excess, or even the normal, use of certain medications.
Other sources are viral, bacterial and fungal infections as
well as others that include autoimmune hepatitis.
The present use of the word hepatitis normally refers to
infectious hepatitis and the most common infectious
hepatitis is a viral infection. There are at least seven
types of viral infections of the liver. The most common of
these are the viral infections known as Hepatitis A,
Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. And finally the most common
viral infection of the liver with a chronic affect is
Hepatitis C that is estimated to be a chronic condition in
4.4 million Americans.
The symptoms of any of the hepatitis conditions seem to
be similar so blood tests are necessary to specifically
identify the source. Common symptoms include nausea,
vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, weight
loss, jaundice appearance and/or itchy skin. Hepatitis A is
the most common of the infections but is a mild infection
that may come and go without even being detected as the
body’s immune system protects itself and it has no lasting
or chronic effect. Hepatitis B and C are more invasive and
both can develop into chronic hepatitis and affect a person
for a lifetime. As mentioned Hepatitis C is the most common
chronic condition affecting 3 or 4 times as many people as
These are all blood disorders and are not passed to
others through casual contact such as hugging, sneezing,
coughing or sharing eating facilities. It can be passed
through practices that have blood to blood contact including
drug culture activities, body piercing with non-sterilized
instruments and other activities more common to

Amy - Years ago (1994) my mother was
diagnosed with hepatitis C and has been tested every 3-6
months to monitor her liver enzyme levels. Since then,
they’ve always been higher than the normal range because of
this and she was prescribed a medication “interferon” (shots
in the stomach) to reduce those numbers to a healthy level.
This medication causes the user to feel like they have
flu-like symptoms all the time (similar to chemo
side-effects), not to mention the discomfort of needles into
your abdomen for the duration of taking the medication. She
tried it, had some lowering of the levels but felt
miserable, so discontinued the treatment. For
the past few months my mother has been putting doTERRA
Frankincense in her drinking water every day. This past
Friday, she got her blood work checked and for the first
time in years her levels were normal!
Helen (Amy’s mother) - “I have been
using doTERRA for several months in many different ways.
Diffusion, in my water or juice, or wherever I sometimes
feel pain. Recently I started putting a few drops of
frankincense in my water to drink because of all the
benefits I have read about it--especially pertaining to the
liver. I have hepatitis-C and for years when I get a blood
test my liver enzymes are always high. On April 20th, 2011,
I had my fasting blood test and was informed 2 days later
that my liver enzymes are normal. This is the first time I
have heard this and the only thing I can think of that I am
doing different is the daily ingestion of the Frankincense.
Hallelujah, if this keeps up.
Meg - I have a
friend who has hepatitis C and needs to get treatment. He
has done the peginterferon alfa-2a treatment in the past and
will have to do it again but it makes him VERY sick. It
lasts a year and is equivalent to a year of chemotherapy.
Is there anything we could try for him before he has to do
that again? I have read a little about clove oil and the
virus but I am hoping for a protocol we can follow for a
month so that he can check his blood levels and we can see
if we made any progress. I'm praying that we can find him
Pat - Try the Zendocrine support, the
Zendocrine oil topically on the liver area, and Melissa and
OnGuard, two drops to the roof of the mouth twice a day.
Jenn - I want to
help someone who has Hepatitis B. She is taking medication
that is similar to chemo pills, which lowers her immune
system and makes her very sick at times. Does anyone have
any experience or suggestions with using the oils for this
Pat - This is a recommended protocol for
Hepatitis B: Zendocrine capsule for organ support and filter
cleaning Zendocrine oil blend rubbed topically on the liver
area. Terrazyme with food 3x a day Melissa and OnGuard, drop
on thumb and hold to roof of mouth, do twice a day. Use
Balance daily on back of ears or back of neck.
HL - I am
wondering if anyone has used Slim and Sassy in order to
detoxify the liver and help support it for Hepatitis C.
Grapefruit is recommended, but my thought is that the citrus
mix will cleanse and help tone and the peppermint would
Pat - The Slim and Sasy would be great
and you are correct, however the Zendocrine Blend would also
be a great topical oil for the liver area.
Heather - What
exactly will the oils do for hepatitis C? Just relieve pain?
Sharon - It would cleanse the liver
safely. A clean liver would lead to a lower viral load
and less damage to the liver itself. The liver is the
seat of our emotions so I would expect to see a better mood
as well. And yes, the Zendocrine oil should help with
pain relief , it has for two people I know personally.
Pat – (more on the hepatitis protocol)
You want to clear the liver (Zendocrine Cleanse) but also
the Melissa kills the virus and that is one of the main
problems. While doing the cleanse you have to drink a lot of
water with lemon essential oil in it. The lemon in the water
helps to flush toxins. There is also the Zendocrine Oil
Blend that can be rubbed topically on the liver area. The
LLV is a perfect way to balance the body and help it to heal
itself. The person with the hepatitis needs to keep his diet
clean from carbohydrates and dairy while cleansing.
Peggy - Does anyone
have a personal testimonial about Hepatitis C being treated
successfully with doTERRA essential oils?
Rob - first, I would be on the Life Long
Wellness supplements. There is not a product out there that
will be much better at bringing balance to the body.
Secondly, consider a twice per day capsule of: 4 drops
helichrysum, 4 drops geranium, 4 drops frankincense 8 drops
melted EVCO This is a blend that is reportedly very
cleansing and detoxifying for the liver.
[Editorial note: Not long fter this protocol was
suggested doTERRA upgraded the Life Long Wellness
supplements to the Life Long Vitality supplements and
introduced two products to cleanse and strengthen the liver.
These are the Zendocrine Detoxification Complex tablets and
the Zendocrine blend.]
Finally aroma touch technique 1-2 times weekly that
include the use of 2-3 drops each of Balance, Clove and
Thyme to be used during the inflammation and pain reduction
stage (after Deep Blue), applied using the palm slide and
Using this protocol, have the viral load checked after
5-6 weeks, and it's likely you will see a significant
reduction in viral load. If the protocol is effective,
continue until eliminating the virus completely.
